Er. Right. Hi.
Uh yeah, that was a long time with no updates. And it was going to be longer, except I decided it was better to make a short post just to break the inertia than it was to wait until I had time to sit down and summarize my entire summer.
Anyway, What I Did on My Summer Vacation from Blogging, the short version:

Anyway, What I Did on My Summer Vacation from Blogging, the short version:
- had a boyfriend, have boyfriend no longer;
- saw a couple of movies at the drive-in;
- saw many movies at the Art (yay penguins!);
- painted pottery cookie jars with S at a place I really expected to be run by a middle-aged hippie lady and was instead run by slightly pushy elderly European gentleman with decided opinions about which way we should paint our purchases;
- helped S and B move to their rental house (on a day that was "only" 92 degrees. Still consider myself lucky. Previous weekend was 97-100 degrees. Somehow all those years in Texas have failed to make me heat-proof.);
- heard some good bands;
- got a lovely visit from my folks;
- successfully altered a t-shirt (repositioned sleeves in the right place and everything!);
- declared delicious blueberry rhubarb pie to be my signature dessert (am working on peach and strawberry variants);
- demo derby!!;
- got out and rode my bike more;
- likewise with swimming;
- after much thinking, have settled on Denver as the most likely spot for my eventual relocation. Has lots of things I like to do, weather that's a damn sight better than Houston (sorry little bro. You know I'd love to live near you, but your town's teh sux0r when it comes to humidity), and would let me be near at least some of my extended family. Job search is still pending, but with a location to target I don't feel so at loose ends;
- and many more... (it's been a busy summer. But I wanted to keep this short.)
